Merry Christmas! Where has the time gone? I was reflecting on the year and it feels like it flew by and yet there are moments that seem like they happened so long ago. What we can be certain of is that it has been an eventful year, gosh our last few weeks have been eventful. Since we made the announcement that we were adopting we have been in full swing getting different things done. We are still in the paperwork phase but when I say paperwork I'm talking, we are climbing a mountain of paperwork here, but on the bright side I think we've almost made it to the top! A week ago today we had our homestudy and that was a huge answer to prayers because we were able to get it scheduled much sooner than we anticipated and the gentlemen that came out was extremely nice and a believer. It has been so incredible to see how the Lord has used this process to put people in our lives. We passed our physical homestudy and now we are waiting on the paper side of things with background checks, abuse checks, driving checks, physicals, etc. This week we were also able to get pictures taken for our profile, our sweet friend came to the house and did some professional head shots and then we took to the streets and got some fun sweet photos downtown. That is another step closer to our profile being complete with our adoption consultants, which means one step closer to going active. Those were the 2 big things that happened in the last few weeks, we are slowly receiving documents that we ordered and security checks. This week we have a to do list of checking on those remaining documents and applying for grants. Thank you all for following along, for supporting us and for praying for us through this journey. We see the Lord moving and we know it's only a fraction of what He is truly doing. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

What a whirlwind of activity! God is so good in his blessings and mercies. Have a wonderful Christmas time and we can’t wait to hear all the good news in The New Year! God bless you both!
